The Sunday supplement #140
☞ As someone frequently on planes, who prefers to pack for carry-on, also someone who occasionally needs to schlep a laptop, book, and accoutrements around town, I’m always on the hunt for a better tote.
Recently, a new company called SPC/LST sent me their bag to test, and I think I found a new preferred companion.
The size is just right: big enough for a 2-3 day trip, but reasonable for the coffeeshop. A laptop pocket, several other pockets, recycled fabrics, plus leather handles I can throw on my shoulder or carry by hand. I got the black, where the branding is more subtle, and so far, it’s exactly what I was looking for.
Around the same time, Brown Buffalo, another new company, sent me their dopp kit, and it’s a great add-on. Basically, a large pencil case where I stash notebook, pen, backup battery, sunglasses, etc. The two combined are my new preferred daily/travel kit, and I’m very pleased.
Fwiw, companies frequently send me stuff, but I don’t include anything here I don’t actually enjoy, and I’m not receiving any kind of compensation off those links.
