My favorite notebooks, how to fight censorship, beguiling new music, new "Nordic Noir," and more
The Sunday supplement #130

☞ I have a year-long subscription to Field Notes, the Chicago-based notebook (and other stuff) company started by my friend Jim Coudal. I receive the pocket notebooks in the mail and churn through them—story notes, grocery lists, overheard conversations, etc.
Field Notes has graciously been the presenting sponsor of the Tournament of Books for many years, which I’ve co-run since 2005. Each time, they produce a special book to commemorate the event, and this year the proceeds are aimed at fighting censorship.
Buy one or more for $5 each and Field Notes will donate the profits to the American Library Association’s Unite Against Book Bans campaign, which empowers people to stand up in the fight against censorship.
Great notebooks, great cause!
