A good app for transcribing interviews.

I interview a lot, which means I transcribe a lot, and it really is my least favorite task of the job.

When someone else foots the bills, I use Rev.com to handle it – transcriptions done by real people. But on my own, I’m left to typing, slowly slowly, always hoping an app will come along that’s full-proof.

I’ve tried Just Press Record and TapeACall Pro. I’ve tried Otter and Smart Voice. None good enough. I’ve even tried simply playing back a recording inside a Google Meet meeting (Google Meet has excellent transcription). Kinda okay, kinda not.
