The Sunday supplement: #55
New songs recommended by a teenage DJ, an archive of annotated luxury-good advertisements, and oddball reads

A friend in the neighborhood invited us over for dinner last week, spaghetti and meatballs from a Marcella Hazan recipe. Who says no? After a great meal, we asked his teenage daughter for song recommendations. She has the pedigree – her dad works in the industry and her mom makes documentaries – plus she’s a new-music head, she has a radio show at school, she attends shows across L.A., i.e., her taste is good.
So, via Spotify, here are eight picks of hers I liked from the last two years. Thank you, Nameless Teenage DJ.
