We’ll start with a story that ran this weekend for Veterans Day, about me doing disaster relief recently in Florida with Team Rubicon.

As the Quarterly sums it up:

Founded by two ex-marines and run by a former Top Gun flight instructor, Team Rubicon has become one of the country’s most elite and effective crisis-response groups. Some volunteers are also responding to a crisis within themselves.

You can find it over here. Not related in the story: the moment when I stepped away from the job site to piss in the woods, and a big brown widow spider fell out of a tree and crawled down my chest.

Florida will Florida.
