Opening night of Sphere with U2

The ceiling was falling on our heads, all of our heads. In two nights of contemporary magic, this was both slightly impossible to understand and extremely, viscerally tangible.

I’m fortunate to have multiple connections to the band U2. After their residency at the new Sphere in Las Vegas was announced, a friend invited my wife and I to attend both nights of the opening weekend, under a VIP umbrella—so, yeah, insanely fortunate. Also, I’ve been a fan since The Joshua Tree, but had never seen them live. It was an easy invitation to say yes to.
